Transformative Changes is the community arm of Chlo'e Edwards Consulting Brands. We are a social enterprise with a mission to ignite social and systems change in pursuit of justice and the liberation of humanity. We believe the people are the change.
We foster change through the transformation of self or individual change, transformation of relationships or interpersonal change, and transformation of community or social and systems change. We implement this through our change brands, WOKE Literacy Institute, Blackity Black 365, and Stay Yoked.
We believe in the evolution. Cumulative change occurs across generations. This change is often irreversible. We believe in revolutionary change. Radical change transforms generational circumstances, systems, and behaviors, but it is often reversible when people and institutions return to the status quo.
Mitigative change or equity reduces the harm of inequality. However, we recognize it does not eliminate the root cause of the barriers, attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs affiliated with injustice. Transformative change significantly shifts and redesigns the social systems and structures that cause harm. Transformative change promotes justice and the liberation of humanity.
We ignite change by empowering change makers to aspire for the change they wish to see in world and the backyards of their communities.
We specialize in intersectionality and serve as a liaison across systems. We specialize in cross-disciplinary issues across systems, including but not limited to public health, trauma-informed care, racial reconciliation, healing-centered engagement, and diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice.
We practice what we preach in "how we pursue the change." We empower community leaders across a variety of industries, including direct-service, policy, advocacy, and research professionals and community members or direct witnesses of injustice and inequality.
We believe in breaking the status quo. We believe in getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. Without discomfort, we believe we are unable to foster growth and societal progress.
